    Pricing & Estimates

It depends on the path you choose. Our Website-as-a-Service (WaaS) plan is a $500 setup fee plus $99/month, which includes hosting, security, unlimited edits, and ongoing monthly SEO & GEO work. If you need a fully custom, ground-up build or a large-scale project outside that plan, we scope and quote it as a fixed-price project after a discovery call — there's no generic one-size-fits-all number.

No. WaaS pricing is flat and transparent: $500 to set up, $99/month after that, covering hosting, security, backups, unlimited edits, and monthly SEO & GEO. Anything outside that scope — like a full redesign or a net-new page requiring custom development — is quoted and approved upfront before any work starts.

Yes. Custom project-based builds are typically split into milestone payments tied to project stages rather than one lump sum. We'll walk through the exact structure on your discovery call once we understand the scope.

The main factors are scope (number of pages, functionality needed), design complexity, custom integrations (booking systems, payment processing, third-party APIs), content creation needs, and whether you need e-commerce. We provide a detailed quote after the discovery call so you know exactly what you're paying for.

We can give you a rough ballpark range, but accurate pricing requires understanding your specific needs, goals, and existing assets. The discovery call is free and typically takes 30-45 minutes — it's the fastest way to get a real number rather than a guess.

Everything: managed hosting, SSL certificate, daily backups, security monitoring, plugin/theme updates, unlimited content edits, monthly SEO optimization, GEO profile management, performance monitoring, and email support. You won't get surprise invoices for routine maintenance or small changes.

    Project Timelines

Most custom website builds are completed in 4–8 weeks, depending on scope, how many pages are involved, and how quickly we get feedback and content from you. We run a structured sprint process with clear milestones so you always know where a project stands.

Sometimes, depending on our current workload and your project's complexity. Rush projects may require a premium to reorganize our schedule. Reach out as early as possible and we'll let you know honestly whether we can meet your timeline.

The most common bottlenecks are waiting on content (text, images, logos), client feedback cycles, and third-party dependencies (like domain transfers or access to existing accounts). We'll help you prepare everything upfront to keep the project moving smoothly.

For clients on our WaaS plan, most edit requests — text changes, new photos, small layout tweaks — are completed within 1–2 business days. Larger requests, like adding a new page, may take a bit longer, and we'll always give you a timeframe before starting.

Routine maintenance (updates, backups, security checks) happens automatically in the background. When issues arise, we triage immediately — critical security fixes are handled same-day, while minor bugs are typically resolved within 24-48 hours depending on complexity.

    Design & Development Process

It starts with a free discovery call where we learn about your business and goals. From there we scope the right solution — whether that's a WaaS plan, a custom build, or an SEO engagement — and give you a clear timeline and price before any work begins. Once we're underway, you get direct access to our team by email instead of a ticketing system or account manager.

We'll ask about your business goals, target audience, what you like or dislike about your current site (if you have one), key functionality you need, and your timeline and budget. It's a conversation, not a sales pitch — by the end, you'll know whether we're a fit and what the next steps would be.

You'll have defined checkpoints for feedback at key milestones (initial design concepts, homepage mockup, full site preview), but you won't be bombarded with daily requests. We handle the heavy lifting and check in when we actually need your input or approval.

Not necessarily. We can work with content and photography you already have, or write and source it for you as part of the project. Copywriting is one of our core services, so most clients lean on us for at least some of the wording.

Yes. We typically start with wireframes or design mockups for your homepage and a few key pages. Once you approve the direction, we move into full development. This ensures we're aligned on look and feel before building the whole site.

We build primarily on WordPress and modern custom-coded stacks, depending on what best fits your goals, budget, and need for flexibility. We also offer dedicated WordPress maintenance for businesses running an existing WordPress site that needs ongoing care.

Absolutely. Every site we build is fully responsive and tested across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Google prioritizes mobile-friendly sites in search rankings, so responsive design isn't optional — it's standard.

Yes. If you already have a domain, we'll help transfer or point it to the new site. If you need a new domain, we'll register it for you. Hosting is included in our WaaS plan; for custom builds, we can set you up on your own hosting or recommend a provider.

    Service Areas & Travel Policy

Barrie is our home base and where our team physically works from, but we serve businesses across Simcoe County (Orillia, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Innisfil, Bradford, Bracebridge, Tiny, Midland), the Greater Toronto Area, and Ontario more broadly. Our process works the same regardless of where your business is located.

We primarily serve Barrie, Simcoe County (Orillia, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Innisfil, Bradford, Bracebridge, Tiny, Midland), Muskoka, the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton), and the broader Ontario market. We've also worked with select clients outside the province.

Our home-turf expertise and case studies are concentrated in Ontario, but the web design, SEO, and GEO process we use isn't province-specific. Reach out and tell us about your market — we'll let you know honestly whether it's a good fit.

No. Most of our client relationships run entirely over email and video calls, which is how we're able to serve towns across Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the GTA from one Barrie-based team. In-person meetings can be arranged for local clients on request.

For local clients within Simcoe County and the southern Georgian Bay area, we're happy to meet on-site if it adds value to the project. For clients further away, video calls are typically more efficient and let us focus time on your project rather than the road.

No. Discovery calls and initial consultations are always free, whether in-person or virtual. Once you're an active client, routine project meetings and check-ins are included — we don't nickel-and-dime you for communication.

    Hosting & Maintenance

If you're on our WaaS plan, launch is the start, not the finish — we keep handling hosting, security, backups, unlimited edits, and monthly SEO & GEO for as long as you're with us. If you did a one-off custom build, we offer separate website maintenance plans so your site keeps running smoothly and doesn't go stale.

For WaaS clients, yes — hosting is part of the package, which is how we guarantee performance, security, and uptime. For custom project clients, you can choose your own hosting, though we're happy to recommend or manage it for you.

Our maintenance covers plugin and theme updates, security monitoring and patches, daily backups, uptime monitoring, performance optimization, fixing broken links, resolving technical issues, and general troubleshooting. Essentially, keeping the site healthy and running smoothly.

For clients on our WaaS or maintenance plans, we monitor uptime 24/7 and are typically notified of issues before you are. Critical outages are escalated immediately. If something breaks outside business hours, we'll get it back online and address the root cause during business hours.

The initial term is 12 months to allow time for SEO and GEO work to compound. After that, it's month-to-month. If you cancel, you'll need to move your site to your own hosting — we'll provide a full export and help with the migration.

Yes. Sites under our WaaS plan are backed up daily, with 30 days of rolling retention. If you need a backup restored, just ask. For clients managing their own hosting, we strongly recommend setting up automated backups through your hosting provider.

You own your content and can take your site with you. We'll provide a full export of your site files and database, and we can assist with the migration process if needed. We don't lock you in with proprietary systems.

    SEO Timeline & Expectations

Most businesses see measurable ranking improvements within 60–90 days. Meaningful organic traffic growth typically follows around the 4–6 month mark, depending on your market's competitiveness and your site's starting technical health. SEO is a compounding effort — it isn't a one-month fix, which is why our WaaS plan runs on a 12-month initial term.

Google needs time to crawl your site, index changes, and evaluate your content against competitors. SEO compounds over time — each piece of optimized content, technical improvement, and earned link builds on the previous work. Shortcuts and quick fixes don't exist; sustainable results require consistency.

Monthly on-page optimization (updating meta tags, headings, content), technical SEO monitoring (site speed, mobile usability, crawl errors), keyword tracking, local SEO refinements, and GEO profile management (Google Business Profile updates, review monitoring). You'll get a summary of what was done each month.

No reputable SEO professional can guarantee specific rankings — Google's algorithm changes constantly, and rankings depend on competition, market dynamics, and hundreds of ranking signals. What we can guarantee is that we follow Google's best practices and focus on sustainable, white-hat tactics that improve your visibility over time.

Yes. Local SEO is one of our core strengths, especially for service-area businesses in Ontario. We optimize your Google Business Profile, build local citations, target geo-specific keywords, and help you build a review strategy that improves local visibility.

SEO (search engine optimization) focuses on improving your rankings in Google's organic search results. GEO (Google Everything Optimization) refers to optimizing your Google Business Profile, reviews, Q&A, photos, and local map pack presence. Both are important for local businesses, and WaaS includes both.

Content creation can be added to any plan. Our copywriting service includes blog posts, service pages, case studies, and other content designed to rank and convert. We'll recommend a content strategy based on your goals and competitive landscape.

    Support & Availability

Email is our primary channel — you'll have a direct line to our team, not a ticketing system or generic support queue. For urgent issues (like a site outage), we provide an escalation path to get eyes on it immediately.

We operate Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. Emails received outside business hours are reviewed first thing the next business day. Critical site outages are monitored 24/7 and escalated regardless of time.

Most communication happens over email to keep a clear record and avoid miscommunication, but we're happy to schedule phone or video calls when needed — especially for discovery calls, project kickoffs, or anything that benefits from a real-time conversation.

Critical means your site is completely down, unreachable, or compromised (hacked). These are escalated immediately. Non-critical issues — like a typo, broken link, or a page layout issue — are important but handled during business hours based on priority.

Yes. After launch, we provide a walkthrough of how to make basic updates (editing pages, adding blog posts, updating images). We can also create custom documentation or training videos if you prefer. And if you're on WaaS, you can always just ask us to make changes for you.

For clients on WaaS or a maintenance plan, ongoing support is included — reach out anytime. For one-off project clients who aren't on a maintenance plan, we're still happy to answer quick questions, and we can quote larger requests or ongoing support on an hourly or retainer basis.

Absolutely. For WaaS clients, unlimited edits are included in the monthly plan. For custom project clients not on WaaS, we can handle changes on an hourly basis or recommend signing up for a maintenance plan if you anticipate ongoing needs.
